In the final game, Cornet was able to bounce back as she took a 3-0 lead at the start. But again the game turned around and Giorgi won five of the six games played later and took a 5-4 lead. Camila Giorgi managed a match point in the game that followed, but unfortunately escaped a backhand return. Cornet held her nerves and succeeded in winning the next 2 games as well.
