(SAN FRANCISCO) – The chief executive of LinkedIn, Jeffrey Weiner’s remuneration increased about 42-fold last year; courtesy of the significant increments in the stock price of the social networking service.
According to a filing, Jeffrey Weiner collected a remuneration package of USD 49.1 million last year. This is a significant increase as compared to the year 2012 when he received USD 1.2 million, and a year before he got USD 7.6 million, when company went public.
Furthermore, Weiner’s salary totaled USD 583,750 in the year 2013 as compared to 2012’s USD 535,000. The major part of his compensation package was from stock and option awards which were estimated to be around USD 47.4 million.
In terms of other benefits, he also got a cash bonus of USD 1.1 million and another USD 4,664 in other compensations that contained 410(k) matching contributions. In addition to this, every employee of the company was given an iPad Mini (total 3,500 units).
